First Aid CPR Instructors
Education, Skills and Experience:  

AHA or ASHI Instructor Certification Experience teaching First Aid and CPR courses 
Good presentation and verbal communication skills 
Communicates well with a variety of clients 
Works collaboratively with the Training Supervisor 

Job Description:  

Reporting to the Training Supervisor, the First Aid and CPR Instructor will instruct a variety of safety courses including Basic First Aid CPR, and BLS / Healthcare Provider CPR. This position is flexible around instructor schedules as we run courses during the day, in the evening and on weekends.  

Specific Duties:  

1. Equipment set-up and cleaning 
2. Teaching First Aid and/or CPR curriculum 
3. Testing participants 
4. Classroom preparation and management 
5. Must have own reliable transportation 
6. Other duties as assigned.  
Event Support Services
Event Support - Volunteers

Event Support Volunteers help create a safe, positive experience for participants at races and community events. Volunteers assist with water and nutrition stations, offer friendly encouragement, and keep an eye out for anyone who may need support. They help maintain a smooth event flow by communicating with the first aid team when concerns arise and by promoting a welcoming, safety‑minded atmosphere. This role is active, social, and perfect for volunteers who enjoy being outdoors and supporting their community.

Event Support - Safety

Event Support team members help create a safe, smooth experience for participants at races and community events. Responsibilities include monitoring safety, assisting with water and nutrition stations, observing participants for signs of distress, and coordinating with fire / EMS when needed. This role is active, friendly, and essential to keeping events running efficiently and safely.

Event Support  — Skills & Experience

Basic First Aid Training — Familiarity with first aid principles.

Fire Extinguisher Training — Understanding how to identify fire risks and safely operate an extinguisher if needed.

Situational Awareness — Ability to notice signs of fatigue, dehydration, or safety concerns among participants.

Team Collaboration — Works smoothly with other volunteers, event staff, and public safety.

Clear Communication — Comfortable relaying information, giving directions, and reporting issues promptly.

Customer Service Mindset — Friendly, supportive, and focused on creating a positive participant experience.

Physical Readiness — Able to stand, walk, and assist at water or nutrition stations for extended periods.

Reliability — Shows up on time, follows instructions, and supports the event’s safety goals.
